Curatorial and performance project (2005-6)

These are installation shots from a delicate matter gallery. Opened in 2005, a delicate matter was a fully functional 36-inch contemporary art gallery, which exhibited work by 11 emerging and mid-career artists from across the UK. During this time, I performed the role of the gallery's director/curator. Due to the size of the gallery, after each exhibition, the artworks rarely survived. The only record of the artistic act is exhibition ephemera and documentation. This raised initial questions and discussion about the impact, value and validity of the documentation of artworks and performance.
